Hotmail inboxes: Here today, gone yesterday?

Some Hotmail clients have been detailing that when endeavoring to sign into Microsoft's Web-based mail benefit, their inboxes were mysteriously gone.

A large portion of the issues appeared to happen on April 9 (Thursday). In an early-morning April 10 presenting on one of its Hotmail sites, Microsoft authorities said the issue gave off an impression of being settled:

"Some of you encountered an abnormal message when you marked into Windows Live Hotmail on Thursday evening (PST) that said 'You don't have an inbox… yet.' Rest guaranteed that your email is protected! The off base message was caused by a systems administration issue that we experienced while doing routine support. We have redressed the issue and you ought to have the capacity to get to your Hotmail account as of now. We apologize for any burden that was caused by this issue, and we thank you for utilizing Hotmail."

I didn't see any issues with my Hotmail account, and obviously, many different clients didn't, either. However, there were unquestionably a few people who got the "no inbox yet" message.

LiveSide noticed that it wasn't simply Hotmail clients who had issues yesterday. Some Xbox Live, Zune Marketplace additionally experienced blackouts on April 9. The reason, clearly, was the equivalent systems administration issue which hit certain Hotmail clients.
